This post is essentially highlights from my final life drawing portfolio during my second year at Max the Mutt Animation School in Toronto, Ontario, with some other drawings thrown in as well. I could have posted so many more drawings I've done, but I'd rather have you leave thinking that every drawing I do has this same level of quality.
These first two are silly pre-class warm-ups that unfortunately came out better than most of my drawings from this year.

This is where the work comes in. This collection of exercises includes: extended tonal, anatomical studies with bone and musculature overlays, a pelvis and ribcage extended study, quick running-line and extended gestures, quick contour, silhouette w/ contour, and a box form tossed in for good measure. Understand that I had quite a few pictures to post, and due to my general apathy there is entirely no sense of order.

I'm pleased with my year of work but in the end I understand these are just exercises; it's the application of these concepts in my future work which is the real goal. It's like playing scales, and then knowing how to manipulate them in the context of a song. These are just really long, arduous, agonizingly repetitive scales.
Be Well and Peaceful
